Know the cottage before you book
Every listing has a Waterfront & Cottage Snapshot: the shoreline and water entry, dock depth, drinking water, Wi-Fi speed with how it was measured, stairs and terrain, where everyone sleeps, water toys and campfires, and winter road access. Each fact says where it came from and when. If the owner has not given it, it says “Not provided”.
One all-in price
The price you see in search is the price you pay at checkout: rent, the owner’s fees, our service fee and taxes, in one all-in price. Optional extras are added only if you pick them. The refundable deposit is never a fee.
Checked owners and township status
The D&L Checked mark shows when the owner’s ID, an ownership document and the township’s licence rule have been checked, each with its date. What D&L Checked means.
For owners
Listing is free. No commission on your rent; the only deduction from your rent is standard card processing, paid to Stripe on the full amount the renter pays. Pro ($399/yr) is optional. Owners also get free tools: the Township Rules Check and the D&L Ledger.

Dock & Loon is an operating name of Lifestyle Basics Enterprise Inc., an Ontario company based in Ottawa. We list cottages across Ontario, outside the City of Ottawa.
Dock & Loon is a platform, not a travel agent or a property manager. Owners set their own prices and rules and accept each booking themselves.
