Accessibility

Last updated November 3 2026

We want everyone to be able to find, compare and book a cottage on Dock & Loon, and every owner to be able to list one.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across dockandloon.ca, in the spirit of Ontario’s accessibility law (AODA).

What we have built in

  • Our brand text and link colours have a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 on white.
  • Forms have labels and clear error messages.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
  • Pages resize for phones and zoom without losing content.
  • We check new pages for colour contrast, keyboard use, labels and text alternatives before release.

Known gaps

Some content comes from owners, such as photos and descriptions, and may not always have full text alternatives. If you find a gap, please tell us.

Ask for help or another format

If any part of the site is hard to use, or you need information in another format, tell us:

  • through the contact page (topic “Accessibility”);
  • or
  • by mail: Dock & Loon, 2026 Tenth Line Road, Ottawa, Ontario K4A 4X4.

We reply within 5 business days and tell you what we will do. Your feedback helps us fix things for everyone.
