The harbour and the water

The harbour area has boat launch access, charter tours, sailing, windsurfing and fishing, and the Town lists canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding there.[7] The Town’s Marina & Harbour page and Waterfront Parking page are the places to check for fees and rules before you go.[8] Sunset Point is named as a scenic waterfront park.[9]

Trails

The museum is at 45 St. Paul Street, open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is by donation, with $5 per person suggested.[14] Its archive covers historic homes, downtown and early industries, and includes photographs of the Collingwood Shipyards and other Great Lakes vessels. An online collection database is available.[15]

Downtown

The Town says its past was shaped by railways, shipbuilding and agriculture, and that more than 50 buildings in and around downtown reflect that history.[16] The Collingwood Downtown BIA, at 105 Hurontario Street, runs programs including Local Live Lunch (a lunchtime food and music series), a farmers’ market and Street Pianos, ten restored pianos.[17] It lists a Christmas Season Launch with the Santa Claus Parade on November 21 at 97 Hurontario Street, and visits with Santa at the Federal Building, 44 Hurontario Street, on November 28 and December 5, 12 pm to 3 pm.[18]

Craft drinks

Events

The Town’s featured 2026 events include Sidelaunch Days, Collingwood Live & Original, Sunset Sessions, the Collingwood Festival for Canada and the Mayor’s Golf Challenge Cup. Its events calendar has the full schedule.[20]

Where to eat

Restaurant listings sit on the Town’s tourism partner site, livemorenow.ca, and the downtown BIA’s business directory.[21][22] We did not retrieve those listings, so this guide names no restaurants. The BIA’s site names food vendors such as Fig & Feta and M.E.K. at Sheffer Court, 186 Hurontario Street.[23]
